What to do with this data

  • Pick Claude for coding and document-heavy work first. Coding is 35% of Claude.ai conversations and Anthropic holds 54% of the enterprise coding market, per Menlo. That is where the product is strongest.
  • Do not judge it by consumer popularity. Only 6% of US adults have used Claude, but enterprise spend tells a different story.
  • Start on Pro before Max. Pro is $17 a month on annual billing; move to Max only when you hit usage limits every week.
  • For a team, budget $20 per seat per month on annual billing and compare against the seat price of your current chatbot.
  • For API work, test the cheaper model first. Sonnet 5.5 is half the per-token price of Opus 5.5, and cache hits cost 10% of input.
  • Expect most teams to run more than one model. 82% of developers use GPT models and 42.8% use Claude Sonnet, per Stack Overflow.
