How did we pick these free e-signature tools?

We included only tools with a free forever plan stated on the vendor’s own site, not trials. We ranked them by how many documents a free user can send, what else the free plan includes and how cheap the first upgrade is. Docusign is listed separately because it has no free plan.

Every limit and price comes from the vendor’s official pricing page on October 12, 2026. See our methodology.
