The best AI website builders in 2026 are Ploy, Framer, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, Hostinger, Durable and 10Web. Ploy is #1 because it treats the site as a living system: you can start free with no credit card, bring in an existing site by URL, and Ploy’s agents keep writing content, fixing problems and running experiments after launch. Starter is $50 a month. Pick Ploy if you want agents maintaining the site; skip it if you want the lowest price or a pure design canvas, where Framer, Webflow or Hostinger fit better.
This guide goes past the headline prices. For each builder you get what each plan includes, the limits that bite, the pricing catch and who should skip it, followed by a buying guide that answers the questions we would ask before paying: can you use your own domain for free, how much AI can you actually use, can you take your site with you, and what happens to SEO and online stores.
| Builder | Entry price | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Ploy | Free; Starter $50/mo | Agents after launch |
| Framer | Free; Basic $10/mo yearly | Design-led sites |
| Webflow | Free; Basic $15/mo yearly | Visual development |
| Wix | Free; Light $17.77/mo yearly | All-in-one small sites |
| Squarespace | 14-day trial; $19/mo yearly | Polished templates |
| Hostinger | $2.49/mo, 48-month term | Lowest entry price |
| Durable | Free; Launch $25/mo | Local businesses |
| 10Web | $10/mo annual ($20 monthly) | Redesigns and cloning |

Which AI website builder is best for your situation?
If you only read one section, read this one. Each pick below comes from the plan details later in this guide.

| Lowest monthly price | Hostinger | $2.49/mo on a 48-month term |
| A real free plan to try | Ploy, Framer, Webflow | Each has a $0 plan, none with a free custom domain |
| Design control and animation | Framer or Webflow | Canvas-first editors with AI agents |
| An online store | Wix, Squarespace or Webflow | Each lists dedicated store plans or features |
| Local business with bookings | Durable or Wix | Bookings are part of the platform |
| Redesigning or cloning an old site | 10Web or Hostinger | Both list URL cloning |
| Taking your code with you | Webflow, 10Web or Ploy | Export or Git access is documented |
How did we pick and rank these AI website builders?
An AI website builder should do more than draw a first draft. We kept builders whose own pages describe AI that builds pages from a prompt, a link or an existing site, then ranked them on four things:
- After launch. Does the AI keep working on the site, with content, fixes or experiments, or does it stop at the first draft?
- Control. Can you take over by hand in a visual editor or in code?
- Moving in and out. Can you start from an existing site instead of a blank page, and take your site with you if you leave?
- Clear pricing. Is there a published price, and a free way to try it?
The ranking is our editorial order, built from what each vendor documents on its own pages. We did not run hands-on builds for this update, so we do not rate output quality, design taste or speed. We also did not test support response times. Every price and feature below comes from the vendor’s own pages, fetched October 28, 2026 UTC, and where a vendor’s pages disagree with each other we say so or leave the detail out. If a fact is missing for a builder, it is because we could not find it on an official page, not because the builder lacks it.
For the builders aimed at conversion pages, see the best landing page builders.
What are the best AI website builders?
1. Ploy: best for sites that agents keep working on
Best for: marketing sites where you want agents handling SEO, content and experiments after launch, and teams moving a Framer, Webflow or WordPress site without a big-bang migration.
Why it’s #1: Ploy’s agents do the work around the site as well as the build. Its home page says they write content, fix what’s broken and run experiments, and its feature page describes a build that starts with a “slurp” of your existing site, then reviewing and approving sections. Ploy’s site FAQ says people still set strategy and approve changes. Ploy also works from Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor.
What each plan includes:
- Free: $0 with no credit card and 500 credits a day (2,000 max). Ploy’s docs list 0 custom domain families, no collaborators and no source-code export on Free.
- Starter: $50/mo with 4,000 credits a month, 1 custom domain family, collaborators, and source access through Git and GitHub Code Sync. Higher credit tiers are available.
- Pro: $300/mo with 24,000 credits, 5 custom domain families, ad integrations, and HubSpot and Attio CRM sync.
- Enterprise: custom pricing, adding Salesforce, SSO, white-glove onboarding and enterprise terms.
- Annual billing: 20% less, which Ploy lists as $480 a year for Starter and $2,880 for Pro.
What’s built in: a SEO agent that works from Search Console and Semrush data, sitemaps, canonical tags and structured data on hosted sites, and a Lighthouse audit on any page. Built-in analytics add auto goals, server-side traffic logs, and first-party hosting for GA4 and PostHog. The hosting feature can route paths to Ploy while a fallback proxy keeps your existing Framer or Webflow site serving everything else.
Limits:
- Usage is metered in credits, and Ploy says longer chats cost more than short ones. Website AI on published sites defaults to 10% of your plan’s credits per period, which owners can change.
- Importing by public URL may not capture dynamic content, CMS entries or private pages.
The pricing catch: the first paid plan is $50 a month, more than Framer Basic at $10 or Webflow Basic at $15, and a custom domain is not on the Free plan.
Who should skip it: anyone who wants the lowest price, a hand-drawn visual canvas as the main way of working, or a site on their own domain without paying.
Data and security: Ploy says it does not use customer content to train AI models, and its site FAQ says a SOC 2 Type II audit is in progress with Vanta.
A year of Starter on monthly billing is $600. See the Ploy review.
2. Framer: best for design-led sites with an AI agent
Best for: designers, founders and marketing teams who want a canvas-first editor, strong animation and CMS, with an AI agent that edits the project.
Framer’s AI agent creates editable pages, sections, copy and visuals in your project, and you can take over on the canvas at any point. It also works with the CMS, builds code components, reviews a site before publishing for contrast, typos, alt text and SEO gaps, and analyzes traffic.
What each plan includes:
- Free: $0 with 500 AI credits to try, a free Framer domain and 1 GB of bandwidth. Framer says Free is ideal for non-commercial use and that you need a paid plan to connect a custom domain.
- Basic: $10/mo billed yearly with 1,000 AI credits a month, 2 CMS collections, 50 GB of bandwidth, 30 pages and a complimentary domain on yearly billing.
- Pro: $30/mo with 3,000 credits a month, 10 CMS collections, 100 GB of bandwidth, 150 pages, site redirects, a staging environment and branching with previews.
- Enterprise: custom limits, enterprise security and dedicated support.
- Add-ons: additional editors are $20 each and viewers are free. Localization is $20 per locale. Convert (A/B testing, funnels and triggers) is $50 per 500,000 events. Advanced hosting is $200.
Limits: Framer’s plan table caps CMS items at 1,000 on Basic and 2,500 on Pro, with paid add-ons for more, and caps bandwidth with a one-month grace period when you go over.
The pricing catch: credits, extra editors and add-ons raise the real cost. Several features people expect on a business site, such as A/B testing and multi-locale translation, are add-ons rather than plan features.
Who should skip it: teams that need a full store, since Framer’s pricing page lists no store or checkout plan, and teams that want a Git workflow for the site’s code.
A year of Pro is $360. See Framer.
3. Webflow: best for visual development with AI built in
Best for: designers and developers who want production-grade control, a CMS and hosting in one tool, with AI for building, copy, code components and audits.
Webflow AI can build a site, modify page designs, generate copy and code, and run SEO and AEO audits with suggested fixes. You can build React components with AI and edit them visually in Webflow.
What each plan includes:
- Starter (free): a webflow.io domain, limited Webflow CMS, 2 static pages, 1 GB of bandwidth and 50 form submissions.
- Basic: $15/mo billed yearly with a custom domain, 300 static pages, 10 GB of bandwidth, unlimited form submissions and password protection. No CMS.
- Premium: $25/mo billed yearly, adding the Webflow CMS, bandwidth from 50 GB up to 2.5 TB, code components, site search and form file upload.
- Ecommerce: Standard is $29/mo with 500 items and a 2% transaction fee, Plus is $74 with 5,000 items and 0%, and Advanced is $212 with 15,000 items.
- Team and Enterprise: platform plans that add Localize, publishing workflows, priority support and governance.
What’s built in: SEO metadata, canonical tags, XML sitemaps, robots.txt and LLMs.txt controls, schema markup support and 301 redirects. Hosting includes free SSL, a global CDN and DDoS protection. Webflow Optimize (A/B tests with AI suggestions) is an optional add-on.
Limits: you can only develop sites in Webflow, and exported code can’t be re-imported. Webflow lets you export clean HTML and CSS on any paid Workspace plan, but dynamic CMS content can’t be exported and forms stop working on an exported site.
The pricing catch: Basic has no CMS, so a blog means Premium at $25. Starter has no custom domain, and an online store is a separate plan on top.
Who should skip it: first-time site owners who want to describe a business and be done, since Webflow is a professional design tool with a steeper learning curve.
A year of Basic is $180. See Webflow and Webflow pricing.
4. Wix: best all-in-one builder for small businesses
Best for: small businesses that want a site, store, bookings and marketing tools from one vendor, with thousands of templates.
Wix says you create a website with AI by describing what you want, then customize it by hand or with Aria, its built-in AI agent. Business tools are wired in as you go.
What each plan includes:
- Free: Wix says creating a website is free. To connect your own domain and remove Wix branding you need a Premium plan.
- Light: $17.77/mo with 2 GB of storage, a light marketing suite and 2 site collaborators.
- Core: adds 50 GB of storage, payments, basic eCommerce and scheduling, with 5 collaborators.
- Business: adds 100 GB of storage, standard eCommerce and a standard marketing suite, with 10 collaborators.
- Business Elite: unlimited storage, advanced eCommerce and an advanced developer platform, with 100 collaborators.
What’s built in: 2,000+ templates, AI generation, free hosting with 99.99% uptime, and a personalized SEO setup checklist. Wix’s SEO tools cover meta tags, URL structure, canonical tags, structured data, robots.txt and bulk 301 redirects, and its AI Visibility tool tracks how ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity mention your site. Stores can sell physical products with up to 1,000 variants each, dropshipped, digital and subscription products.
Limits: the free domain is a one-year voucher on most yearly plans, valid only for a new domain bought from Wix.
The pricing catch: Light does not accept payments, so a store needs Core or above. Wix says prices vary by location, and the price we captured includes GST.
Who should skip it: teams that want an agent maintaining SEO and content after launch, or developers who want to own the code.
A year of Light is $213.24. See Wix.
5. Squarespace: best for polished templates and design
Best for: creatives, service businesses and small stores that want well-designed templates and predictable hosting.
Squarespace’s AI website builder, Blueprint AI, turns a description of your business into a personalized site. Squarespace says it is built on more than 20 years of design expertise and that every design choice is shaped by professional designers.
What each plan includes:
- Basic: $19/mo billed annually ($25 monthly) with 2 contributors, a free custom domain for the first year on annual plans, built-in SEO tools and a 2% online store transaction fee.
- Core: $29/mo ($39 monthly) with unlimited contributors, no store transaction fees, advanced code injection, a free year of Google Workspace email, and advanced discount and lead-capture tools.
- Plus: $49/mo ($65) with lower card rates and reserved carts with a countdown timer.
- Advanced: $99/mo ($139) with the lowest card rates and high-traffic checkout.
- All plans: unlimited bandwidth and storage, SSL, 24/7 support, and AI credits (10 one-time on Basic, then 20, 40 and 120 a month on higher plans).
What’s built in: an SEO setup checklist, editable SEO titles and descriptions, an AI Visibility tracker, and stores that sell products, subscriptions and digital content with automated sales tax.
Limits: Basic leaves out advanced code blocks, code injection and premium integrations, which start on Core. Basic’s store fee is 2%, and the fee for digital content and memberships falls from 7% on Basic to 0% on Advanced.
The pricing catch: there is no free plan after the 14-day trial, and the $19 headline needs an annual term.
Who should skip it: anyone who wants a free plan, deep customization of code, or agents that run the site after launch.
A year of Basic is $228. See Squarespace.
6. Hostinger: best for the lowest entry price
Best for: people who want the lowest monthly price and are happy to commit for years, with hosting, a domain and email bundled in.
Hostinger’s AI website builder lets you describe your idea and builds the site, with hosting, domain and email included on its plans. It also lists a website cloner that recreates a site from a URL, a PDF-to-website converter and code editing.
What each plan includes:
- Premium: $2.49/mo, which Hostinger says means $119.52 for 48 months, renewing at $10.99/mo for the same term. Up to 3 websites, 20 GB SSD storage, free weekly backups, a CDN, 2 free mailboxes per website for a year and 400+ templates.
- Unlimited: $3.49/mo with unlimited websites, priority 24/7 support and ecommerce available.
- Cloud Startup: $7.99/mo for maximum performance and scalability.
- A custom domain is free for the first year on a term of 12 months or longer on Premium or Unlimited. Premium endings such as .ai and .io are not part of the offer.
What’s built in: the builder automatically creates sitemap.xml, robots.txt and llms.txt once a site goes live on a custom domain, plus metadata. Stripe, PayPal and Google AdSense integrations are listed. For stores, Hostinger lists 0% Hostinger transaction fees and Shippo shipping labels. A 30-day money-back guarantee applies.
Limits: Hostinger says its unlimited features are subject to a fair usage policy, and ecommerce is added at checkout.
The pricing catch: the headline price is a Black Friday offer on a 48-month prepaid term. A year at the Premium renewal rate is $131.88.
Who should skip it: anyone who does not want to prepay for multiple years, or who wants a design canvas like Framer or Webflow.
7. Durable: best for local businesses that want a site in minutes
Best for: solo and local service businesses that want a site, bookings and a simple CRM without learning a design tool.
Durable says you can get online in 30 seconds. Its Launch plan adds a professional website, custom forms, analytics, bookings synced to your calendar and AI agents for blogs, reviews and competitor research, with 1,000 AI credits a month.
What each plan includes:
- Free: $0 with 300 credits to try, up to 10 customers and basic help-center support.
- Launch: $25/mo with a professional website, unlimited bookings, a built-in CRM, advanced SEO and GEO, and priority human support.
- Grow: $49/mo, everything in Launch plus unlimited team members, a translated site with a language switcher, personalized onboarding and 5,000 AI credits a month.
- All plans: SEO, secure hosting, unlimited website traffic and a CRM.
What’s built in: structured data, a sitemap and robots.txt, auto-tagged headings, llms.txt for AI assistants, Google Business Profile syncing and directory listings, and AI search ranking checks across ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok and Perplexity.
Limits: Durable’s own FAQ says it is not designed specifically for e-commerce and, as a “no code” tool, offers no extensive HTML customization.
The pricing catch: Durable’s pricing page shows $25 and $49 a month for Launch and Grow, and its compare table shows $22 and $41, so confirm which billing cycle you are looking at. A yearly toggle saves 15%.
Who should skip it: stores, and anyone who wants to customize code.
A year of Launch at $25 is $300.
8. 10Web: best for redesigns and cloning
Best for: WordPress users, agencies and anyone redesigning an old site, since its builder starts from a prompt, a link, a Figma file or an existing page.
10Web says you start with a prompt, a link or a file, and it plans the site, builds every page and runs it. Its plans list a redesign agent that modernizes an outdated page, a cloning agent that recreates a page from a URL and a Figma agent that converts Figma files into pages.
What each plan includes:
- AI Starter: $10/mo billed annually ($20 monthly) for 1 website with 100 AI credits a month, 10 GB of SSD storage and 10K monthly visitors. The first custom domain is free for a year, with up to $30 included.
- AI Premium: $15/mo annually ($30 monthly) for 2 websites, 200 credits and priority support.
- AI Ultimate: $22.50/mo annually ($45 monthly) for 4 websites, 300 credits, Google Cloud hosting and a Cloudflare CDN on one site.
- Agency plans: add white-label dashboards and Stripe or PayPal client billing.
- All plans: full WordPress CMS, a free SSL certificate, mobile optimization and a 90+ PageSpeed target.
What’s built in: an ecommerce dashboard with product and order management, conversion-optimized checkout and automated tax setup. The builder lists SEO, forms and bookings among its features, and a code editor with custom code, embeds, FTP and a full export.
Limits: monthly visitors and storage are capped per plan, and AI credits are limited.
The pricing catch: the annual prices are a 50% promotion, so read the regular price: 12 months of Starter is $120 against a regular $240.
Who should skip it: anyone who does not want WordPress under the hood.
How do AI website builder prices compare?
Three tables below split the pricing question: the first paid plan, what the free plan gives you, and what a year costs. All figures are from each vendor’s pricing page, fetched October 28, 2026 UTC.
What is the first paid plan on each builder?

| Wix | Light | $17.77/mo yearly |
| Squarespace | Basic | $19/mo annually ($25 monthly) |
| Hostinger | Premium | $2.49/mo on 48 months |
| Durable | Launch | $25/mo |
| 10Web | AI Starter | $10/mo annually ($20 monthly) |
What do you get on the free plan, and what’s the catch?
| Builder | Free option | Catch |

| Framer | Free plan, 500 AI credits | Framer domain; custom domain needs paid |
| Webflow | Starter plan | webflow.io domain, 2 static pages |
| Wix | Free to create | Premium to connect a domain |

| Hostinger | Builder start link, no card | No free plan on its pricing page |
| Durable | Free plan, 300 credits | Up to 10 customers |
| 10Web | Start free | Paid plans start at $10/mo annually |
What does a year cost at list price?

|---|---|---|
| Framer Basic | $120 | 12 x $10 |

| Webflow Premium | $300 | 12 x $25 |
| Durable Launch | $300 | 12 x $25 |
| Framer Pro | $360 | 12 x $30 |
| Ploy Starter | $480 annual, $600 monthly | $40 x 12, $50 x 12 |
Compare what the money buys. Ploy and Framer meter AI by credits, while Wix, Squarespace and Hostinger bundle hosting and domains. Hostinger’s Premium plan is $119.52 for the first 48 months, then $131.88 for a year at the renewal rate.
What should you check before you choose an AI website builder?
Headline prices hide the limits that decide whether a builder works for you. These are the questions we would ask, with what each vendor’s pages say.
Can you use your own domain on the free plan?
On the free plans we could verify (Ploy, Framer, Webflow and Wix), no: a custom domain needs a paid plan. Squarespace has no free plan, and Durable’s pages are less clear, so check its plan table before you rely on a free domain.
| Builder | Custom domain on free | Free domain on paid |
|---|---|---|
| Ploy | No (0 families) | Not listed |
| Framer | No | Complimentary on yearly |
| Webflow | No (webflow.io) | Custom domain from Basic |
| Wix | No | 1-year voucher, most yearly plans |
| Squarespace | No free plan | 1 year on annual terms |
| Hostinger | Not stated | 1 year on 12+ months |
| Durable | Not stated | Up to $20 on Launch |
| 10Web | Not stated | Up to $30, first year |
How much AI can you actually use?
AI limits are the least comparable part of these plans. Ploy, Framer, Durable and 10Web meter by credits; Squarespace meters by credits too, with far smaller numbers. Credits are not interchangeable between vendors, and several vendors say heavier work uses more of them.
- Ploy: 500 credits a day on Free (2,000 max), 4,000 a month on Starter and 24,000 on Pro. Idle sites use little.
- Framer: 1,000 credits a month on Basic and 3,000 on Pro, with higher tiers available. Credits are shared by the workspace’s editors.
- Durable: 300 credits on Free, 1,000 a month on Launch and 5,000 on Grow.
- 10Web: 100 credits a month on AI Starter, 200 on Premium and 300 on Ultimate.
- Squarespace: 10 one-time credits on Basic, then 20, 40 and 120 a month on higher plans.
- Webflow, Wix and Hostinger: we did not find a comparable monthly credit number on the pages we captured. Hostinger lists an AI credit gift that doubles during its Black Friday offer.
Can you take your site with you?
Ownership and export vary more than pricing does. We only list what each vendor’s pages state.
- Webflow: export clean HTML and CSS on any paid Workspace plan, but dynamic content can’t be exported, forms stop working and exported code can’t be re-imported.
- Ploy: source code access is on paid plans only, through the Ploy CLI (
ploy site git clone) or GitHub Code Sync. Free has no export. - 10Web: lists a code editor with custom code, embeds, FTP and a full export.
- Hostinger: lists code editing with full access to your project’s code.
- Durable: says it is a no-code tool, and says it will arrange a transfer of your custom domain if you cancel.
- Framer, Wix and Squarespace: we did not find an export statement on the pages we captured, so we do not claim one.
What SEO and AI-search controls do you get?
All eight pitch SEO, but the controls differ. Webflow lists metadata, alt text, Open Graph, canonical tags, sitemap controls, robots.txt and LLMs.txt, schema and 301 redirects. Wix lists meta tags, URL structure, canonical tags, structured data, robots.txt and bulk 301 redirects. Hostinger and Durable generate sitemap, robots.txt and llms.txt automatically. Ploy’s agent can work from Search Console and Semrush data. Framer lists automatic SEO for CMS pages, unified sitemaps and redirects on Pro. Squarespace lists an SEO checklist and editable titles and descriptions.
What about online stores?
Only some of these are store builders. Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, Hostinger and 10Web publish store features or plans, and the transaction fees differ.
| Builder | Store fee or plan | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Webflow | 2% on Standard, 0% on Plus | Plus $74, Advanced $212 |
| Squarespace | 2% on Basic, 0% from Core | Card rates from 2.9% + $0.30 |
| Wix | Core and above | Basic, standard, advanced |
| Hostinger | 0% Hostinger fees | Ecommerce added at checkout |
| Durable | Not built for stores | Its own FAQ says so |
What about integrations, hosting and support?
- Hosting: Framer lists a CDN with 20 locations on Basic and 300+ on Pro. Webflow includes a global CDN and free SSL on every Site plan. Wix cites 99.99% uptime. Hostinger includes weekly backups and a CDN on Premium.
- Integrations: Ploy lists Figma, Miro, Google Analytics 4, Search Console and Meta Ads on every plan including Free. Hostinger lists Stripe, PayPal and AdSense.
- Support: Squarespace lists 24/7 support on every plan. Durable gives Launch priority human support. Ploy offers private support, a Slack community and support@ploy.ai. Webflow’s pricing page says email support aims to reply within 48 hours.
When is Ploy the right pick, and when isn’t it?
We rank Ploy first, so here is the case on both sides, using only what Ploy’s own pages say.
Ploy is the right pick when:
- You want agents doing ongoing work: Ploy says its agents write content, fix problems and run experiments, and you approve changes.
- You already have a site on Framer, Webflow or WordPress and want to move gradually. Ploy’s hosting page describes routing rules and a fallback proxy that keeps your current site live.
- SEO and AI answers are the point. Ploy lists FAQ blocks, JSON-LD, sitemaps and a SEO agent that reads Search Console and Semrush data.
- You want to start free, with no card, and see a real build before paying.
Ploy is not the right pick when:
- You want the lowest cost. Starter is $50 a month, compared with $10 for Framer Basic and $2.49 on Hostinger’s long term.
- You need your own domain without paying. Free has 0 custom domain families.
- You want an online store. We did not find a store product on the Ploy pages we captured.
- You want your whole team on the free plan. Collaborators are on Starter, Pro and Enterprise only.
- You need predictable AI usage. Usage is metered in credits, and long chats cost more.
Which AI website builder should you choose?
- You want agents that keep optimizing the site: Ploy.
- You want a design canvas with an AI agent: Framer or Webflow.
- You want everything for a small business in one place: Wix, Squarespace or Durable.
- You want an online store: Webflow, Wix or Squarespace, after checking the fee on the plan you need.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best AI website builder?
Ploy is our top pick. You can start on its Free plan with no credit card, paste an existing URL or start a new brand, and Ploy's agents write content, fix problems and run experiments after launch. Framer and Webflow are the stronger choices if you want a hands-on visual canvas, and Ploy's Starter plan at $50 a month costs more than both.
What is an AI website builder?
An AI website builder generates pages, copy and layouts from a prompt, a link or an existing site, then lets you edit the result. The better ones keep working after launch, with an AI agent that reviews the site, edits the CMS or suggests changes.
Are there free AI website builders?
Yes. Ploy's Free plan gives you 500 credits a day (2,000 max) with no credit card. Framer's Free plan includes 500 AI credits to try, Webflow has a free Starter plan, Wix says creating a website is free, and Durable has a Free plan with 300 credits. Squarespace has no free plan but every site starts with a 14-day free trial.
How much do AI website builders cost?
Framer Basic is $10 a month and Webflow Basic $15 a month, both billed yearly. Hostinger starts at $2.49 a month on a 48-month term and renews at $10.99.
Can I move my existing website to an AI website builder?
Ploy says it reads any public site, including WordPress, Webflow, Framer and custom code, and moves it with your URLs and SEO metadata intact. 10Web lists a cloning agent that recreates any page from a URL. Framer says you can import from sources like Notion and WordPress into its CMS. For the other builders, check each vendor's import options before you commit.
Which AI website builder is best for a small business?
Wix, Squarespace and Durable are built around small-business sites with bookings, stores and hosting included. Hostinger has the lowest entry price on a long term. Ploy suits teams that want agents running SEO and experiments, and costs more.
Can I use my own domain on a free AI website builder?
Not on the free plans we could verify. Ploy's Free plan includes 0 custom domain families, Framer says you need a paid plan to connect a custom domain, Webflow's free Starter plan uses a webflow.io domain, and Wix says you need a Premium plan to connect your own domain. Framer and Squarespace include a complimentary domain for the first year on yearly or annual plans.
Can I export my site from an AI website builder?
Webflow lets you export HTML and CSS on any paid Workspace plan, but dynamic CMS content can't be exported and forms stop working. Ploy gives you source code through its CLI and GitHub Code Sync on paid plans only. 10Web lists a full export and Hostinger lists code editing. We did not find an export statement for Framer, Wix or Squarespace on the pages we checked.
Which AI website builder is best for SEO?

Webflow lists the most granular controls for metadata, schema, redirects, sitemaps and LLMs.txt. Wix, Squarespace, Hostinger and Durable all list built-in SEO tools, and Hostinger and Durable generate llms.txt.

Webflow's Standard store plan is $29 a month with a 2% transaction fee, Squarespace Basic charges 2% and Core and above 0%, and Wix needs Core or above to accept payments. How is Ploy different from Framer and Webflow?
Framer and Webflow are visual design tools with AI built in, and you do the building on a canvas. Ploy builds with agents and keeps them working after launch on content, SEO and experiments, while you approve changes. Ploy's first paid plan is $50 a month against $10 for Framer Basic and $15 for Webflow Basic.
How did you rank these AI website builders?
We ranked them on four things we could check on official pages, which are what the AI does after launch, control over the result, moving in and out, and clear pricing. The order is editorial and we have not run hands-on builds, so we do not rate output quality or speed. Every price and feature comes from the vendor's own pages, fetched October 28, 2026 UTC.
