How did we pick these cross-posting tools?

We included tools whose own pricing pages say they publish one post or video to several networks. We ranked them by how many networks one post reaches, how cheaply a solo creator or small team can do it, and whether short video (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) is supported. Every price and limit comes from the vendor’s site on October 18, 2026. Repostit submitted through our submit form; we checked its site today and list it separately below.

What are the best cross-posting tools in 2026?

1. Buffer: best cross-posting tool overall

Buffer’s Free plan is free forever and connects up to 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts per channel that you can refill anytime. Its channel list covers Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, Bluesky, Mastodon and Substack, so one post can go almost anywhere.

Essentials is $5 per channel a month ($60 a year per channel, billed yearly) with unlimited scheduled posts. Team is $10 per channel a month ($120 a year) and adds unlimited team members. Paid plans have a 14-day trial. Per-channel pricing is the catch: posting to eight networks costs eight times as much. Full breakdown on Buffer pricing and the Buffer review.

2. Publer: best budget pick for many accounts

Publer’s Free plan is free forever with 3 social accounts (X cannot be connected on Free). It supports Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google Business Profile, Mastodon, Bluesky and Telegram, and says it handles “all post types including YT Shorts, IG Reels & Shorts and even LinkedIn PDFs.” You can customize each version, for example more photos for Facebook or shorter text for X.

Professional is $4 a month billed yearly ($5 monthly) with a 7-day trial and adds unlimited scheduling and X. Business is $8 billed yearly ($10 monthly). The price scales with the number of social accounts you select, and Publer says every 10th account is free.

3. Later: best for TikTok, Reels and Shorts

Later is built on social sets: one profile on each of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, Threads and Snapchat. Its multi-profile scheduling sends one post to several profiles, and its post types include Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, TikTok posts, YouTube Shorts and Snapchat Spotlight.

Starter is $18.75 a month billed yearly ($25 monthly) for 1 social set, 1 user and 30 posts per profile a month. Growth is $37.50 ($50 monthly) with 2 social sets and 180 posts per profile. There is no free plan, only a 14-day trial. See the full Later pricing breakdown.

4. Metricool: best free plan with analytics

Metricool Free is $0 a month for 1 brand and covers all of that brand’s networks except LinkedIn and Twitter, with 20 posts a month, 30 days of analytics and 5 competitor profiles. Starter is from $20 a month billed annually (up to 5 brands; $25 billed monthly) and adds unlimited publishing, LinkedIn and an X add-on. Its planner lists repurposing posts between brands.

Pick Metricool if you want to see which network a cross-post works best on, not just publish it.

5. Repurpose.io: best for automatic video reposting

Repurpose.io’s pitch is “Post on one platform. Your content gets repurposed everywhere else — watermarks removed, captions intact.” It connects YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Twitch, Google Drive and Dropbox, resizes videos for each platform and also reposts images and Stories.

Starter is $35 a month or $349 a year (up to 3 accounts per network, 5,000 published videos a month). Pro is $79 a month or $790 a year (10 accounts per network, unlimited videos). Agency is $179 a month or $1790 a year. The 14-day trial lets you publish 10 videos free, no card needed.

6. Typefully: best for cross-posting text and threads

Typefully says it lets you “effortlessly cross-post to X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Threads, and Mastodon.” Its Free plan is free for everyone with 1 social set, 1 user and 10 posts a month, with advanced scheduling and the API included. Paid plans raise the limits, but the prices did not render in our capture of Typefully’s pricing page, so check there. Pick it if you write, not film. See the Typefully review.

7. Hootsuite: best for large social teams

Hootsuite Standard is $99 per user a month billed annually, Professional $199 (manage unlimited social accounts) and Advanced $399, with a 14-day trial and no card needed. It is overkill for one creator but fits a team that needs approvals and reporting across many brands. See Hootsuite pricing.

What about Repostit?

Repostit, which submitted through our form, does one job: it detects new videos and republishes them to Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels and TikTok, without manual uploads or watermarks. It can also repost older videos and back content up to Google Drive or Dropbox.

Its pricing page lists Basic at $5 a month (10 video posts, monthly only), Starter at $14 a month or $10 a month billed $120 yearly (1 account per platform, unlimited automated video posts), Influencer at $29 or $20 a month ($240 yearly, 5 accounts per platform) and Agency at $149 or $99 a month ($1188 yearly). The 14-day trial allows 10 published posts with no card. It is a cheaper, narrower alternative to Repurpose.io for TikTok-first creators.

How we verified this page

Every plan, limit and price above was read from the vendor’s own pricing or home page on October 18, 2026. Later’s monthly prices come from a second capture with its monthly billing toggle selected. Frequently asked questions

What is the best cross-posting tool in 2026?

Buffer is our top pick for most people. Its Free plan connects up to 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts per channel, and Essentials is $5 per channel a month billed yearly with unlimited scheduled posts. Publer is the best budget pick for many accounts, and Repurpose.io is the best for automatically reposting finished videos.

How do I post the same video to TikTok, Reels and YouTube Shorts at once?

Use a scheduler that publishes short video to all three. Later's plans cover Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts from one post, Publer supports YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels, and Repurpose.io can watch one platform and republish new videos to the others with watermarks removed.

Is there a free cross-posting tool?

Yes. Buffer Free connects 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts per channel. Publer Free connects 3 social accounts (not X). Metricool Free covers 1 brand and all its networks except LinkedIn and Twitter, with 20 posts a month. Typefully Free cross-posts to X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Threads and Mastodon with 10 posts a month.

Can I customize a cross-post for each network?

Yes, in Publer. Its plans page says you can customize a post for each network, for example more photos for Facebook, shorter text for X or extra hashtags for Instagram, before it goes out to every account.

How much does Repurpose.io cost?

Repurpose.io Starter is $35 a month or $349 a year, Pro is $79 a month or $790 a year, and Agency is $179 a month or $1790 a year, in USD. Every plan starts with a 14-day trial that lets you publish 10 videos free with no credit card.

Is cross-posting the same as scheduling?

Not quite. A scheduler queues posts you write for each network. A cross-posting tool sends one piece of content to several networks at once, and auto-repost tools such as Repurpose.io and Repostit go further by picking up new videos from one platform and republishing them to the others.
