Best AI Brand Sentiment Tools (2026): 10 Ranked, From $25/mo

The best AI brand sentiment tools, ranked: Mentionova, Profound, Semrush, Peec AI, Otterly.AI and 5 more, with official prices and what each scores.

By Marcus Reed, Go-to-Market Editor Updated November 3, 2026 Prices checked on official vendor pages November 3, 2026

The best AI brand sentiment tool for most teams is Mentionova, from $99 a month billed annually: pick it if you want every AI answer that names you scored for sentiment, checked against your brand facts and flagged when it’s wrong, with agents that draft the fix; skip it if you need sentiment across nine or more engines under one enterprise contract, where Profound or BrightEdge fit better. A sentiment score on its own tells you that ChatGPT sounds lukewarm about you. It doesn’t tell you why, or whether the answer is simply out of date. We ranked ten tools on how well they explain a sentiment shift, catch factual errors and turn the finding into work. Every price, plan and feature below comes from the vendor’s own website, fetched November 3, 2026.

What is AI brand sentiment, and why track it?

AI brand sentiment is the tone an AI assistant uses when it describes your brand: does ChatGPT recommend you, mention you with caveats, or steer the buyer to a rival? Two brands can appear in the same number of answers and be described very differently. That difference decides who gets the click.

Tracking it matters for three reasons:

  • Answers go stale. Engines repeat last year’s pricing, a retired feature or an old review roundup. A tone score won’t catch that. A fact check against your own brand facts does.
  • Sentiment has sources. Every negative framing traces back to pages the engine read: a comparison post, a forum thread, a review site. The useful tools show those pages so you know what to fix or who to contact.
  • Sentiment drifts. A model update or a new competitor page can turn a positive answer neutral overnight. Daily or weekly runs with alerts catch it before it becomes the default answer.

How did we rank these AI brand sentiment tools?

We read each vendor’s pricing and product pages and scored the tools on five criteria. We did not use review sites, coupon pages or affiliate lists, and we left out any claim the vendor’s own pages did not support.

CriterionWeightWhat we looked for
Accuracy checks25%Catches wrong facts, not only tone

Our scoring weights. Facts behind each score come from the vendor pages cited under each tool, fetched November 3, 2026.

A tool that labels answers positive, neutral or negative but can’t show which source caused the label scored lower on root cause, however polished its charts.

Mentionova

Mentionova is an AI visibility platform that reads every answer naming your brand across six engines, scores its sentiment, checks its claims against your brand facts and alerts you when something changes.

Best for

Marketing and brand teams that care less about the tone label and more about catching the answer that’s wrong, then getting it fixed.

How it scores sentiment

  • Every mention scored: tracked prompts run across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Google AI and Reddit, and every answer that names you is kept with a sentiment score from −1 to +1.
  • Brand facts check: you keep pricing, founding year, processors, headquarters, key features and compliance in one place, and each answer is checked against them. Contradictions roll up into a workspace accuracy score, so a stale price is flagged even when the tone is positive.
  • Flagged answers: an answer that contradicts your facts is flagged with the engine, the prompt and the wrong claim.
  • Drift alerts: each run is diffed against the last, and changes become typed drift events, such as an engine shifting from positive to neutral on a comparison prompt, with the exact words that changed.
  • Competitor view: the competitor analysis puts share of voice, mention rate, citation rate, position, sentiment and source strength side by side for you and each rival.

Tiers

PlanPricePrompts and engines
Starter$99/mo yearly ($125 monthly)25 prompts, 3 engines
Scale$320/mo yearly ($400 monthly)100 prompts, 6 engines
Enterprise$799/mo yearly ($999 monthly)250 prompts, 6 engines

Source: mentionova.com/pricing, fetched November 3, 2026.

Agentic tasks run 100, 500 and 2,500 a month. Every paid plan includes pages and AI traffic attribution, opportunities with ready briefs, Workflows & Grids, Reddit engagement and integrations, and starts with a free trial with no card.

Limits

Starter covers three engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google). Claude, Gemini and Reddit as tracked engines need Scale, although Starter still includes Reddit engagement on the threads your engines cite.

The pricing catch

Starter is $1,188 a year, about $3.96 a prompt. If your sentiment problem shows up mainly in Claude or Gemini, you’ll need Scale.

Who should skip it

Global brands that need a dozen engines and SSO under one enterprise agreement. See Mentionova vs Profound.

Why it is #1

It’s the only tool here that checks the facts inside the answer against a record you control, as well as the tone. That catches the commonest real problem, an outdated claim delivered politely, and the agents then draft the page or Reddit reply that corrects it.

Profound

Profound is an enterprise AEO platform with a dedicated sentiment tab built on purpose-made sentiment prompts.

Best for

Brand, PR and AEO teams at large companies that want sentiment themes, trend lines and root-cause analysis across many engines.

How it scores sentiment

  • Sentiment prompts: you write prompts that ask the engine to evaluate you directly, such as “What are the pros and cons of [Brand]?”, and tag them by topic.
  • Score and breakdown: an aggregated sentiment score with a positive and negative breakdown by prompt, topic and platform, tracked daily with trend lines.
  • Themes: a ranked list of the recurring narratives AI returns about you, with mention counts, trend direction and the source URLs behind each one.
  • Root cause: separates perception issues (the product is fine, the narrative is wrong) from reality issues (AI reflects a real product gap), and feeds themes into Profound’s agents to draft content.

Tiers

Source: tryprofound.com/pricing, fetched November 3, 2026.

Limits

The trial runs for 7 days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, which is enough to see the sentiment tab but not to watch a trend.

The pricing catch

Every paid plan is custom, so you can’t compare cost before a sales call.

Who should skip it

Teams that need a published price. See Profound alternatives.

Semrush AI Visibility

Semrush sells AI brand sentiment inside its AI Visibility Toolkit, next to its SEO suite.

Best for

Teams already on Semrush that want to see how LLMs describe their brand against competitors.

How it scores sentiment

  • Brand perception: shows the words, phrases and framings LLMs use about your brand, with strengths and areas to improve.
  • Competitor benchmarking: compares how often you and your rivals are mentioned for key selling points, with share of voice and sentiment over time.
  • Prompt drivers: identifies which topics and questions trigger positive responses and which work against you.
  • Recommendations: a prioritized action list covering channel opportunities, messaging gaps and positioning.

Peec AI

Peec AI is an AI search analytics tool that reports visibility, position, sentiment and share of voice daily on every plan.

Teams that need to know why sentiment moved. See Peec AI alternatives.

Otterly.AI

Otterly.AI is a dedicated AI search monitoring tool with brand sentiment analysis on every plan.

Best for

Small teams that want sentiment tracking at the lowest paid entry price.

How it scores sentiment

Otterly’s brand sentiment analysis answers one question: are you recommended enthusiastically, mentioned with caveats, or dismissed outright? It sits next to brand visibility, citation source tracking and brand profiling.

Limits

Every plan tracks four engines: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. Claude and Gemini are not in that set.

The pricing catch

Lite is $300 a year billed yearly, about $1.67 a prompt, but 15 prompts is a thin sample for sentiment trends.

Who should skip it

Teams that need Claude or Gemini. See Otterly.AI alternatives.

Ahrefs Brand Radar

Ahrefs Brand Radar measures brand visibility across an index of 525 million prompts and monitors sentiment, including the aspects that shape your AI narrative.

Best for

Research teams that want market-wide sentiment on every competitor without writing prompts.

How it scores sentiment

Brand Radar shows positive and negative sentiment in AI responses by brand and breaks it into aspects. Custom prompt tracking adds your own prompts on a daily, weekly or monthly cadence, tagged by topic, funnel stage or campaign.

Limits

HubSpot AEO

HubSpot AEO tracks brand visibility in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini and scores sentiment from −100 to +100.

The free trial covers 25 prompts with no credit card, and extra prompts can be bought at any time.

The pricing catch

Conductor

Conductor pairs AI sentiment tracking with what it calls Influencer Analysis: which source domains the AI models trust to form their opinion of you.

Best for

Enterprise teams that want sentiment broken down by business driver and tied to a PR workflow.

How it scores sentiment

  • Business drivers: sentiment statements are categorized automatically, for example by Price, Service or Quality.
  • Root cause: every score links to the sources driving it, down to the exact statement, source URL and the prompt that triggered it.
  • Alerts: you can set alerts for spikes in negative sentiment, then pitch corrections to the publisher.

How to choose an AI brand sentiment tool

Decide what “negative” means for you

A hedge (“good, but expensive”) and a factual error (“no longer offers X”) need different fixes. If errors are your risk, choose a tool that checks claims against your facts, such as Mentionova. If tone is your risk, Profound’s themes or Conductor’s business drivers explain it better.

Insist on sources

Sentiment you can’t trace is a number you can’t act on. Mentionova, Profound, Conductor and Semrush all tie sentiment to the prompts or sources behind it. SE Ranking’s SE Visible lists AI brand sentiment tracking as coming soon, so check before you buy it for this.

Match engines to your buyers

B2B buyers often research in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude; consumers lean on Google AI Overviews and Gemini. Otterly and Scrunch Core skip Claude and Gemini; HubSpot and Semrush’s sentiment page name three platforms.

Sample enough prompts

Sentiment is noisy on 15 prompts. Use sentiment prompts that ask the engine to evaluate you, plus buying prompts that compare you with rivals, and run them at least weekly.

Our arithmetic from each vendor’s listed entry price and prompt allowance, November 3, 2026. Profound, Conductor and BrightEdge publish no price; Ahrefs prices by index and checks.

Which should you choose?

Choose Mentionova if you want to know when an AI answer about you is wrong, not just cold, and want the fix drafted. Choose Profound or Conductor for enterprise narrative analysis with a sales-led contract, Semrush if you already live in it, and Otterly.AI or HubSpot AEO for a low-cost first read. Frequently asked questions

What is the best AI brand sentiment tool?

Mentionova is our top pick. It scores every AI answer that names you from −1 to +1, checks the claims in each answer against your brand facts, alerts you to drift, and has agents draft the fix. Starter is $99 a month billed annually ($125 monthly).

What is AI brand sentiment?

It is the tone AI engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews use when they describe your brand: positive, neutral or negative. Good tools also show which prompts and sources drive that tone.

Which AI brand sentiment tool is cheapest?

Otterly.AI Lite is $29 a month ($25 billed yearly) for 15 prompts with brand visibility and sentiment analysis across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot.

How does HubSpot AEO score sentiment?

HubSpot AEO scores sentiment from −100 to +100. It costs $50 a month ($45 billed yearly) for 25 prompts across three engines.

Does Semrush track AI brand sentiment?

Yes. Semrush's brand sentiment feature covers ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. The AI Visibility Toolkit Base plan is $99 a month per domain billed annually, with 25 custom prompts.

Does Profound have a sentiment tracker?

Yes. Profound has a dedicated sentiment tab with an aggregated score, recurring themes with their sources, and root-cause analysis. Paid plans are custom; a free trial runs 7 days.

Does SE Ranking track AI brand sentiment?

SE Ranking's SE Visible lists AI brand sentiment as coming soon, so it isn't in our ranking yet.

Is sentiment enough to manage how AI describes my brand?

No. A polite answer can still quote an old price or a dropped feature. Pick a tool that also checks the facts inside each answer and shows the sources behind it, as Mentionova and Profound do.

How many prompts do I need to track sentiment?

Start with the 25 to 50 questions buyers ask when comparing you, including pros-and-cons and versus prompts. Most entry plans here cover 15 to 50 prompts.

Which tools track sentiment for enterprise brands?

Profound, Conductor and BrightEdge sell enterprise contracts. Conductor breaks sentiment down by themes such as price, service and quality, and BrightEdge AI Catalyst gives positive, neutral and negative reasoning across five engines.
