Leonardo’s Free plan is $0 a month and “Perfect for casual creators who want to explore AI art.” It includes 150 fast tokens per day, a 150-token bank, public creations, presets, basic quality settings and 1 personal collection. Free tokens reset daily. Free users get platform and third-party models, Flow State and presets, plus limited access to Blueprints, Ultra Quality, Realtime Canvas and Elements.

Essential is $12 a month and “Best for daily hobbyists and enthusiasts”: 8,500 fast tokens a month, a 25,500 rollover bank, private creations, enhanced quality, unlimited collections, 10 personal AI models and 2 simultaneous generations.
Premium is $30 a month for “semi-professionals and active creators”: 25,000 fast tokens, a 75,000 bank, 20 personal AI models, 3 simultaneous generations and unlimited relaxed image generation on selected models (Lucid Origin, Lucid Realism, Phoenix 1.0, Phoenix 0.9, FLUX Dev and FLUX Schnell in the comparison table).
Ultimate is $60 a month for “professional creators, small businesses, and content producers”: 60,000 fast tokens, a 180,000 bank, 50 personal AI models, 6 simultaneous generations and unlimited relaxed video on selected models as well as images.
A year of Premium on the monthly toggle is about $360 ($30 × 12) and a year of Ultimate is about $720 ($60 × 12). Leonardo’s yearly toggle is labelled “Up to 20% off”; we did not quote yearly dollar figures because they did not render reliably in today’s capture.
How do Leonardo AI tokens work?
Leonardo calls tokens its “currency.” Generating images, creating videos, background removal and upscaling all spend tokens, and the cost rises with GPU load. Paid allowances reset at the start of each billing month. Unused tokens roll into a bank capped by plan (25,500, 75,000 or 180,000). Paid users can buy Top-up Token packs that never expire but only work while subscribed.
When Premium or Ultimate run out, first-party models keep working in Relaxed mode with no token cost. Third-party models listed on the page, including GPT-Image-1, Ideogram, Nano Banana, Veo 3 and Sora 2, always use tokens.
