Is Toggl free?
Yes. Toggl’s Free plan costs $0, is free forever and works for teams of up to 3 users, per Toggl’s pricing FAQ. It includes manual and real-time timers, focus mode, Google and Outlook calendar integrations, tasks, boards, task estimates and personal-level reports.
Toggl says its free plan is “built to be genuinely usable solo rather than a trial in disguise.” The limit that pushes teams to pay is team visibility: team reports, billable rates and the timeline view are Starter features. A fourth teammate also forces an upgrade. Our free time tracking tools list compares Toggl’s free plan with Clockify, Harvest and RescueTime.
How much does Toggl cost per user?
Toggl Starter costs $9 per user per month and Premium costs $16 per user per month on annual billing. That is $108 and $192 per user per year. On monthly billing, Starter is $12 and Premium is $24 per user per month. Enterprise pricing is set with Toggl’s sales team.
Annual billing is the bigger saving on Premium: $16 versus $24 is the 33.3 percent Toggl advertises. On Starter, $9 versus $12 saves 25 percent. Toggl offers a 30-day trial that it says has “no strings attached.”
What does each Toggl plan include?
Toggl’s plans step up from personal tracking to team reporting to profitability. Free covers timers and personal reports. Starter adds billable rates and team views. Premium adds margin, approvals and integrations. Enterprise adds custom roles, multiple workspaces and dedicated support.
Free
Toggl Free includes real-time and manual timers, focus mode, the Pomodoro timer, idle detection, calendar integrations, task and board views and personal reports. It runs on web, desktop, mobile and the browser extension.

Toggl Enterprise is custom-priced. It adds custom roles, custom setup, integration or reporting work, a dedicated Customer Success Manager, priority support and multiple workspaces under one organization.
What add-ons does Toggl sell?
Toggl sells two add-ons. Time Off Pro costs $2 per user per month and manages time-off approvals, balances and policies. Capacity Management costs $5 per user per month on annual billing, or $6 monthly, and forecasts capacity months ahead with team-grouped timelines and profit forecasts.
Add-ons stack on top of the plan price. A 10-person Premium team adding both add-ons on annual billing pays $16 + $2 + $5 = $23 per user per month.
How much does Toggl cost for a whole team?
A 5-person team pays $540 a year on Toggl Starter or $960 a year on Premium, billed annually. A 10-person team pays $1,080 or $1,920. A 20-person team pays $2,160 or $3,840. Monthly billing costs more at every size.
